The Guide’s Choices for Inns & Resorts

Our Choices

There are two kinds of tourists. One of them is that quests for comfort of a club, with numerous activities, day and night, combined in one place. The other prefers tranquility and a smaller lodge, more intimate and informal – yet, professional. This guide was written to satisfy both types of tourists. The greatest challenge of our reporters and editing team from Four Wheels Guide was to define in one list more than 5000 hotels, inns and resorts, which ones should be pointed out as the best. After many meetings, a final conclusion was drawn: the best inns don’t have many rooms (at most 30, in average), great location, presence of owners and kind hospitality as well as efficient services. Regarding resorts, the combination of good infra-structure for leisure, along service quality and accommodation conditions have a higher weight upon classification.

From this point, our reporters listed the selection of 253 inns and 70 resorts, in a teamwork that took 3 months, after more than a decade travelling throughout the country under Fernando Leite’s coordination as editor. The second phase was in charge of the art team, which was under editor Ana Claudia’s coordination to choose the best photos to illustrate each place and its special feature. Some are real findings – which even won highlights, as you will see throughout the next pages.

Have a nice trip,

ARRAIAL DO CABO

Caminho do Sol Inn is a kind of two in one, but in a good way. The Inn is the best lodge in Arraial and has the best restaurant in town. You can practice diving at Praia Grande, and after order the dish of the day at the restaurant – the owner, Marcelo Poppe also has a company that sells sea food and fish.
